Utkatasana (Chair Pose)

Utkatasana proves to be an ideal yoga pose in order to increase immunity. Holding this pose for several breaths increases the heart rate, stimulating the circulatory and metabolic systems. It builds a lot of heat in the body and it works on the muscles, to increase strength and stamina, this Chair Pose helps promote inner power.

How to do Utkatasana

  • Stand up straight.
  • Now bending your knees, move your hips backwards as if you are sitting on a chair
  • And raise your hands upwards. Touch the ears and soften the shoulders.
  • With awareness, sit straight and lengthen your spine. Relax.
  • Hold the pose for 5-10 breaths and try stretching upwards if possible
