This yoga pose is another example of how we can practice yoga to boost immune system. It increases oxygen to the lungs and stimulates digestive system. Also Ardha Matsyendrasana works on your shoulders and offers relief from fatigue and helps with asthma.

How to do Ardha Matsyendrasana

  1. Extend your legs forward, feet together, spine straight and upright and hands at your sides.
  2. Fold the right leg in, and bring the bottom of your right foot near the left buttock.
  3. Now, bend the left leg, lift and place the foot outside of right knee.
  4. Twist your torso to the left, and place your right elbow past the outside of your left knee.
  5. Exhaling, wrapping your arm around left knee grab the inside of the left foot.
  6. Press the front of the left foot down for balance.
  7. Focus on twisting the abdomen with the spine, trying to get the abdomen outside of the thigh.
